This has been a hard week. And I'm ending it by watching Comic Relief which in turns has had me in tears and laughing. They're clever like that, those Comic Relief guys.
It does put a fire in your belly, this fundraiser. A fire to help others and to really appreciate what you have. Sometimes you need a reminder, no matter how hard it is to watch. And let's face it, it's hardly hard really, is it?
So here is my most up to date Thank You List. I am thankful for:
- My wonderful children. Always. Even when they won't get dressed, are stroppy or hog the laptop.
- Hubby whose hard work allows me to stay home with our children.
- My home. It is a work in progress but ulimately it offers sanctuary, warmth and shelter.
- Television. Easy to knock but without it how would we be able to help others or even know they need helping?
- Coffee. Love it. I love coffee shops and am lucky my nearest town has 18 of them.
- Blogs. I am grateful for the inspiration and possibilities they offer.
- My fairly new passion of gardening. Creative and nurturing. I just need to work out how to fit it in a bit more.
- Spring. It's arrival is always so heart-lifting.
- Plans and projects and pipedreams. How lucky I am to even have these, whether or not they come to fruition.
- Music. It colours my world. I just have to remember to open the paintbox more often.

Reading your list made me think - real hard. And one of the most important things to come to mind was, how lucky I am to have someone who basically subsidises what I love to do. I think I may forget that sometimes.

Hi Deb, that's a lovely list and it really got me thinking as I read it... I have been finding it quite tough those last couple of days and really if I think about it all, what I need to be happy is right under this roof as I speak.
I must admit that I had to switch off comic relief yesterday. It is the first year since I had my children that I sit down to watch it and although I loved it, I couldn't cope with the pain and sadness I saw. I was in tears all the time, so it was all a bit too much. I think when you have children, it really speaks to the parent and it was more than I could cope with. But one think is for sure well done to everyone participating, organising, donating. Well done for doing something to make the world of these children a better place to live in!
